Review: Savor the Moment by Nora Roberts

My thoughts: This is the 3rd in Nora Robert’s Bride Quartet series and I loved it!!! Perhaps I have enjoyed these books so much because I read the first one on my honeymoon so I was quite familiar with the whole wedding planning chaos that can ensue…or maybe it’s because I am just a sucker for a good love story. Whatever it is, these books are quickly becoming my favorite Nora Robert’s series.

Savor the Moment is Laurel’s story. Laurel is the baker extraordinaire of Vows, the wedding planning business that the four childhood friends Parker, Emma, Mac and Laurel own. Laurel has carried a torch for Del since they were teens. To her frustration and annoyance, however, Del looks at Mac, Emma, and Laurel as sisters and seems clueless as to Laurel’s non-sisterly feelings. That is, until Laurel gets tired of Del’s brother act and kisses him during an argument. It was fun watching the journey that Laurel and Del’s relationship took from trying to figure out how to tell their friends to the “smex bet”. It was a perfect progression of friends to lovers and the insecurities that occur on both ends. Part of the reason why it worked, I think, is because readers had already gotten the chance to know and love Laurel and Del in the first two books and there was definitely some chemistry already smoldering. As with the prior books, the reader also gets glimpses into what is to come in the next (and final) book in the series  – Parker’s story. I will certainly be sorry to see this series come to an end.
