TO: Authors & Publishers!
Like any avid book blogger and book fanatic, I enjoy getting books to review. This is something I never even realized was a part of book blogging until a few months after I started my blog. I am always amazed when someone either contacts me about reviewing a book or one just appears in my mailbox.
Below you will find my review policy to give you a sense of what I will and will not review and what you can expect from me. Please note that I will only accept those books that meet my requirements. I’m not able to respond to every request but I will get back to you if I’m interested.
I will also participate in blog tours, host author interviews or guest posts, and conduct giveaways. Please contact me in regards to these opportunities as well.

- ARCS/Galleys
- Hardcovers/Paperbacks
- Ebooks – must be in ePub format as I have a Nook
- Audio Books
REVIEW SCHEDULE:
I keep a review schedule, but please keep in mind that I do not only read review books. I also read books I have either bought myself or books that were lent to me from family members and I use the library quite frequently. I am willing to work with you to review the book in a timely fashion. I will set up a date for the review/guest post/giveaway, etc and will do my best to post on that date.
MY REVIEWS:
My reviews are written in my honest opinion whether I purchased the book, borrowed it from the library or received a complimentary copy for review. I cannot guarantee that all reviews books will receive a positive review. My format usually includes the first sentence of the book (used as a teaser!), the summary of the book taken directly from the book, and then my thoughts. If the book is part of a series, I will list the books in the series. I have also started to include links to the authors website, twitter, facebook and goodreads pages if applicable as well as links to buy the book on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
When my review is posted, I will contact you via email.
HOW TO REQUEST
If you would like to have a book reviewed, please send me an email at k2reader@gmail.com with a synopsis or press release, and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. I reserve the right to decline a request for review.
In your email, please include:
- a blurb or synopsis of the book
- book title and author
- genre(s) the book falls under
- a picture of the book cover
- whether or not the book has been released yet; if it not, then please state when it will be released
- anything else you’d like posted with the review (author profile, social media links, etc.)
UNSOLICITED BOOKS
I will accept unsolicited books, but they will not necessarily be reviewed. If the book is not a good fit for me I will likely pass it on to someone or offer it through a giveaway on my blog. If the book is something I will read, I will make every effort to review it in a timely fashion, but be aware that because it was unsolicited I may already have a full review schedule and it may take some time.
