Teaser Tuesdays (8.31.10)

MizB of Should Be Reading hosts Teaser Tuesday. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Here’s a tease of what I am currently reading:

When she replaced the receiver she realized her hand was shaking almost violently. She tucked it under her arm like an annoying old sock and took a deep breath.

From The House on Olive Street by Robyn Carr, pg. 14.

Please leave a comment with a link to your teaser so I can stop by.

Love that, comparing an arm to "an annoying old sock"! Hilarious! 😀

    Good teaser.

I have only read one Robyn Carr but really liked it. I am waiting for the next book in the series to come into the library.

My teaser this week is quite action packed. It's from Frostbitten by Kelly Armstrong.

I've never read anything by Carr, but I love the description of the hand as an annoying old sock! Great imagery. May have to look for this at my library.

My teaser, for Christopher Moore's Bite Me, is over @ Stuff & Nonsense.
