My thoughts: I always love reading books by Carly Phillips – they are light and fun and filled with some steamy romance. They are also books that can be devoured in the course of an afternoon. Kiss My If You Can fits this and more – this time a bit of a mystery is involved. While the mystery is a light one and it’s pretty clear who stole the ring early on, it is an important part of the book because it allows Lexis and Coop to come together, figure out what is important to them and see if things between them can be sustainable. There are many funny scenes between Coop and Lexis but also some that are very hot. And then there are the scenes that involve Lexie’s grandmother, Charlotte, and her friend, Sylvia, which are at times laugh-out-loud funny. Carly Phillips’s take on the most eligible bachelor concept is fun and I’m looking forward to the next book in the series. The teaser at the end of Kiss Me If You Can strongly hints at who the next bachelor in the limelight will be. I can’t wait to read the next Bachelor book – and hope there are more to come.
