Day 3 brings an end to Bloggiesta IV for me. This fun event has been hosted by the lovely Natasha at Maw Books. Overall, I was pretty productive. I was able to spend the whole day working on my blog – lots of housekeeping/organizational stuff going on. It’s pretty mundane stuff, but needs to get done and the Bloggiesta is the perfect opportunity to work on it.
Here’s what I have accomplished this weekend:
Write up a few reviews that I need to post/set up posts for upcoming reviews- Wrote and posted 3 reviews
- Set up post and scheduled posting for 1 review
- Set up posts for 5 books that are next up on my reading list
Prepare a few posts for rainy daysCompletedSet up templates for weekly memesCompletedClean-up tags, category listsCompletedUpdate reading log and link reviews to logCompletedClean up and update my challenge listsCompleted- Also linked reviews done to all challenge lists
- Add a page listing all reading challenges – didn’t get to this
- Add an about me page, review policy, disclosure policy, privacy policy – didn’t get to this
Clean up my Google Reader subscriptionsCompletedUpdate Goodreads books read listCompleted- I added all my books read since 2003!
- Add book reviews to Goodreads – still need to do this – oh well, another day!
Analyze and re-evaluate my blog– I think this is an on-going process, but I did give it some thought and have some ideas for changes to be made moving forward- Back up my blog – still looking into this
Look into new commenting system- I attempted to install IntenseDebate and ran into some problems, so I uninstalled it. I didn’t end up reinstalling it – I am going to do some more research into commenting systems before committing to one!
Participate in at least 2 mini-challenges– Completed 3/2- Bloggiesta Mini-Challenge: Google Forms hosted by Jen at Devourer of Books -you can still enter to win a Starbuck Giftcard by filling out the form – click here.
- Bloggiesta Mini-challenge: Footers hosted at Bookaliciou.us – I added a copyright footer!
- Bloggiesta Min-Challenge: Organize Thy Books hosted by Jenn at Jenn’s Bookshelves – I created a google doc for logging review requests and I added a new tag to my emails in gmail.
Things not on list that I did:
- Added link to my PaperbackSwap books I have posted
- Updated my Goodread link on my blog – now showing books to be read
- Got a button for my blog – compliments of Gina at Hotts Books (thank you Gina – you rock!!!)
Time spend today: 11 hrs
Current running time: 28 hrs (that’s 3 more than I hoped for – YAY me!!!)
Whew…my eyes are killing me from spending so much time in front of the computer, but all-in-all, it was worth it! I got a ton done this weekend and already have a list to work on for the next Bloggiesta! Thanks again to Natasha for hosting this phenomenal event!!!
