Thank you to Katrina over atCallapidder Daysfor hosting this challenge!!! I got a lot of books read that have been
sitting on my bookshelves, in addition to all the review books I had
to read. I also read quite a few library books this time around – new releases that I had reserved.
I
read a lot of great books this time around and it’s hard to pick one
favorite, but some of the top books were: The Shoemaker’s Wife, Russian Winter and The Last Queen.
What about you? Did you participate in this challenge? If so, how did you do?
Wow, that's quite a lot. I've never read any of those. I've heard of Janet Evanovich and Nora Roberts but haven't read any of their stuff.
I am happy to say I completed my goals this time — I don't always — though my list was not as long as yours.
I don't think I've ever finished a list I've made, because other books always tend to pop up.
How, that's an impressive accomplishment. Nicely done. I recognize several titles among them, but haven't read any. The Shoemaker's Wife sounds intriguing.
The Shoemaker's Wife is awesome…I highly recommend it!!!
That is an awe inspiring list of books. Well done!
I'm lucky that I have lots of time for reading!
Nice list! How does One for the Money compare to the movie? (or have you seen it?) I saw it and thought I'd pass on that series… should I reconsider?
I don't believe I've read any of these but Russian Winter sounds interesting. Is it historical fiction?
I haven't seen the movie yet – but I do want to see it. I enjoyed the book, though – very funny at times.
Russian Winter is really good and yes, it is historical fiction.
Wow! That's quite a list! Congratulations on sticking to it AND getting so much else read. That's great!
I was stressing earlier in the week because I still had three books to go, but fortunately I finished two of those three.
Lots of reading accomplished. And amazingly, the only one I familiar with is The Weird Sisters. I'll have to look some of these up and get them on my lists.
Did you read The Weird Sisters? I thought it was different, but pretty good.
You read a lot I'm not familiar with but have checked out. Now I've added more to my TBR list. Thanks and great job. Have a great time reading this summer.
That's the best part of this – going around to see what everyone else has read. It definitely ends up with more books on the tbr list, though!
You've got a lot of great books on this list – I've read several and see a lot of familiar authors also. Great job on your challenge!
I was fortunate that all the books on my list I ended up enjoying!
Good job, getting that many read.
I'm actually surprised it ended up being so many!
wow that is a LONG list!! good for you! I LOVE James Patterson and am waiting for 11th Hour and the latest Alex Cross book!! I tend to get on very long waiting lists at the towne library. Happy Summer!!
I always buy my James Patterson books so I can add them to my collection. Quite a few of my other books were library books that I had reserved when I knew they came out.
I didn't participate in the challenge, but it seemed like a fun one. You certainly read a whole heck of a lot of books (that I've never read) Happy future Readings!
I like this challenge because it's low-key and there's no pressure in doing it!
Fun list! I always enjoy Iris Johansen and have mixed feelings on Nora Roberts (I like her best as JD Robb, wink). Aren't the Evanovich books fun? I picked up the first one in an airport and read it on a plane. That was a mistake–I kept laughing out loud and I'm sure the other passengers thought I was a fruitcake! 🙂 I picked up the second one for the plane ride back home. I got tired of them about 4 or 5 in though and haven't read one lately–maybe I should pick up another one!
I haven't read any of the JD Robb books. As for the Janet Evanovich books, try the audio of the books – I've listened to 2 on audio narrated by CJ Critt and she's awesome!
Woo-hoo! You love to read as much as I do. 🙂 I also added so many extras. But isn't it fun? Enjoy your summer reading.
I couldn't help with the extras – quite a few were new releases that I had on reserve from the library.
Thirty-eight books — amazing, Kristin! Nice job. Thanks so much for being part of SRT '12!
You did a fantastic job! I am currently listening to The Shoemaker's Wife and am loving it.
Wow, awesome list! Thanks for stopping by my SRT post. 🙂
