I’m reading Zoo by James Patterson:
Located in Griffith Park, a four-thousand-acre stretch of land featuring two eighteen-hole golf courses, the Autry National Center, and the HOLLYWOOD sign, the Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens is more of a run-down tourist attraction that a wildlife conservation facility.
As many of you know, I love James Patterson and read most of his books, especially many of his series, including Alex Cross, Michael Bennett, the Women’s Murder Club and Private. This one is a stand-alone and has an interesting premise. I’m about a quarter of the way into it and I’m very curious as to how things will turn out. I will say, though, I would suggest not reading this right before going to bed…the scenes with the animals attacking humans – doesn’t really make for sweet dreams!
I am always afraid his books will be too scary. But I've seen some of the movie adaptations and thought they were very good. Maybe I just need to pick the right ones.
Thanks for posting on Book Beginnings on Fridays! Sorry I haven't been around for a while. This is the first Friday I am actually in town and at my computer in several weeks.
Yikes–animals attacking! That would encourage nightmares.
Here's my Friday Post.
I haven't read any of his books. This looks interesting.
I have never read any of his books either. Sounds like an interesting premise, albeit scary one.
That's a bit of a complicated opening sentence but the story sounds gripping, although a bit too scary for me – enjoy 😉
I've never read any Patterson…I always think zoo animals have pent up aggression. Or maybe they're neglected in this book. I don't know. Very interesting.
I have only read "Guilty Wives" by James Patterson, but I have been wanting to read "Zoo!" Thank you for sharing!
