It’s Monday What Are you Reading , hosted by Sheila, isthe perfect way
for me to
begin my week and allows me to
focus on what
needs to be read and to see what I
have or have not
accomplished the previous week.
I also enjoy
discovering new books by
visiting other participants
blogs.
So I ended up taking an unplanned break from blogging last week. Between getting ready for Thanksgiving – cleaning, baking, decorating, etc – I was exhausted and just needed to walk away from the blog. But, I am back and am looking forward to finishing out the year and begin planning for next year!
I did sign up to participate in my first ever blog hop. It’s the 1st Annual Historical Holiday Blog Hop being hosted by Passages to the Past. It will be held December 10 – 17 and now I just need to pick what historical fiction book I will be giving away! If you would like to participate, head here to sign up.

What
about you? What does your reading
week look like this
week? Whatever it is,
happy reading and have a good
week!
I had fun with Janet Evanovich books – up to the 14th, and I kind of lost interest. Maybe I'll pick it back up again soon, for a change.
Have a good reading week, and good luck with the reviews. 🙂
The Janet Evanovich books are definitely fun…and I've decided to listen to them all on audio – they are quite hysterical on audio!
You have some interesting titles coming up for reviews. Looking forward to them.
Thanks…they were all good!
I totally understand how busy this time of year can be. I don't host Thanksgiving but I took some time off to go to my parents' house and help my mom cook for Thanksgiving. I ended up not writing or posting any reviews and I only finished one book. This week is definitely catch-up time.
I hope you have a great and relaxing week! Summer House sounds like the perfect book this time of year. I really miss summer and it is just starting to snow here 🙂
I miss summer, too! We had some snow already and are supposed to get more tomorrow…it's fine as long as I can stay indoors on those days!
I agree that this week is definitely going to be a catch up week with both reviews and reading!
Thanksgiving is a busy time! It's about to get even busier with Christmas coming up 🙂 Yikes!
Enjoy your reads and have a great week!
Yes, it certainly does. The only good thing is that I don't host for Christmas, so I don't have to do as much cleaning and running around!
I want to pick up more of the Stephanie Plum books…and I enjoyed Nancy Thayer's Summer House. Have a great week! Here's MY MONDAY MEMES POST
Have you tried them on audio – they really are very funny and the perfect books to listen to! I just started Summer House this morning at the gym and it's pretty good so far.
I just found out on another blog that book 19 in the Plum series just came out. I read the rest of them but there are 277 holds at the library so I may have to wait a bit for this one. Have a great week!
Have you tried them on audio? I read the first book and than have been listening to the audios of books 2-6 – and am going to try to do the audio for the rest…so funny listening to them!
I like seeing that people are finding time to read their own books. I am eager to start working on my own TBR mountain. My review stack is finally low enough that I can see over the top. My Monday Report is here. Happy reading!
Thank goodness for TBR/Off the Shelf challenges – it's really pushing me to read my own books.
It is a busy time of year! Enjoy your first blog hop, and your reading, Kristin.
Lots of good books! I enjoyed the Elm Creek Quilters series although I'm glad to see that she has finally branched out a bit with Mrs. Lincoln's Dressmaker! Enjoy!

Have fun with the blog hop – that is so fun!
Looks like you had a good week! I hope you enjoy this week's reads!!!
