My thoughts: This is my first foray into the writing of Bella Andre and I have to say I am hooked! Her writing is refreshing, fun and full of steamy romance. This is the first of her Sullivan series and I am looking forward to falling in love all over again with each story as we get to know all the Sullivans.

The Look of Love is Chase Sullivan’s story. Chase, a world-famous photographer, is on his way to his brother Marcus’ winery for a photo shoot when he comes across a car stuck in a ditch. He sees Chloe walking in the pouring rain and he stops to help. Right from the moment he sees her, there is instant attraction. The problem is that Chloe is running from something in her past and has her guard up. Opting to go with his instincts instead of listening to Chloe’s request, he takes her to the guest house at the winery and very quickly realizes both are in for more than they bargained.

What I loved about Chase and Chloe’s story is that it isn’t rushed. Despite the fact that the story takes place over the course of a few days, Chase takes in the signs that Chloe is dealing with something big. Not wanting to push her, he takes things slow and eventually that slowness pays off. As Chloe becomes more comfortable around Chase, she shares her story – that she is running from her ex-husband. I also loved how Chase only seemed to have eyes for Chloe once she was in the picture. Even at the photo shoots, surrounded by beautiful models, he is more interested in watching Chloe. 

While we don’t physically get to meet all the Sullivans – the only one we meet is Marcus – we do get to know them a bit as Chase describes his family to Chloe. I am really looking forward to getting to know the rest of the family and definitely am intrigued by Marcus – his story is next. Steamy, hot, and very sensuous, Bella Andre’s writing reminds me a bit of Carly Phillips, another favorite author of mine who is like a guilty pleasure. If the rest of the Sullivan stories are as good as this first one, I will be one happy girl and have a new go-to author when I need those steamy reads!
