Book Beginnings Friday: The Ambassador’s Daughter

Please join Rose City Reader
every Friday to share the first sentence (or so) of the book you are
reading, along with your initial thoughts about the sentence,
impressions of the book, or anything else the opener inspires.  Please
remember to include the title of the book and the author.

I’m reading The Ambassador’s Daughter by Pam Jenoff:

The sun has dropped low beneath the crumbling arches of Lehrter Bahnhof as I make my way across the station.

This
is Pam Jenoff’s newest book. It is actually a prequel to her other two books, The Kommandant’s Girl and The Diplomat’s Wife, which I have not read yet. I am about 60 pages into the book so far and I am really enjoying it. I love books set during the war periods, and this one is set during the peace negotiations right after WWI.

Have you read this or any of Pam Jenoff’s other books?

I haven't read any of Pam Jenoff's books, but this one sounds interesting. I'll look for them.
My Book Beginning post features DAKOTA BLUES.
