Welcome to day three of Audio Book Week, hosted by Jen at Devourer of Books! Today is the mid-week meme.
Current/most recent audiobook:
I’m currently listening to 2 audio books:
* in the car: Fly Away by Kristin Hannah, read by Susan Ericksen
* on the iPod: Come Home by Lisa Scottoline, read by Maggie-Meg Reed
Impressions:
Fly Away: I loved Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah and this is the sequel to that and it’s really good!
Come Home: This is the first Lisa Scottoline book I’ve read/listened to and I am really enjoying it – there’s just the right amount of suspense to keep you hooked and Maggie-Meg Reed is really able to nail all the different voices.
Current/most recent favorite audiobook:
Looking over the audiobooks I’ve listened to this past year, I’d have to say Kristin Hannah’s Winter Garden is my favorite…Susan Ericksen did a phenomenal job narrating that story, especially when the Russian accent is called for – this is why you should listen to this book!!!
Favorite narrator you’ve discovered recently:
Stina Nielsen – she was part of the cast that narrated Alison Weir’s Innocent Traitor – she was Lady Jane Grey. I enjoyed listening to her and would love to see what else she’s narrated.
One title from your TBL (to be listened) stack, or your audio wishlist:
And Then I Found You by Patti Callahan, read by Shannon McManus
And Then I Found You is EXCELLENT 🙂
That's what I heard…did you listen to the audio or read the book?
I'm not familiar with Stina Nielsen… must check out Innocent Traitor!
It was really good and the first time I've heard her.
all great suggestions – TY!
you've piqued my interest 😉
My list is already growing as I visit everyone else's post!
After reading your comments on Winter Garden, I'm going to look for this audio. I love narrators who can do accents!
It was amazing…definitely enhanced the book!!!
I haven't listened or heard of any of these, which is great, because I love new-to-me recs!
Yes, I've created quite a list this morning already from visiting everyone and seeing their recs!
thanks for sharing, I'm not familiar with any of those, I will have to try Innocent Traitor
Innocent Traitor was really good – it's with a whole cast of narrators, which is a nice change from the single narrator that I usually end up with.
All of these are new to me – which is great! I'm putting Winter Garden on my "listening list" 🙂

It's so good…I'll be looking forward to reading your thoughts on it!
I had Winter Garden in my hands as a library loan but I had to return it before I had a chance to listen to it. I hate when that happens!
Oh…I hope you can get it again – the audio is phenomenal!!!
I stumbled across your blog today and was so excited. This seems like the perfect spot to find great summer reading books. As a literature teacher I am constantly looking for new books for both myself and my high school students.
Please check out the blog that I recently started: measuredmylifeincoffeespoons.wordpress.com
Thanks…and welcome!
I don't know any of these books. It's so fun seeing everyone's different tastes.
Yes, it really is and my to-listen-to list grew quite a bit as I went around today!
Stina Nielsen narrates a series that my husband and I like by Laurraine Snelling. She really is quite good.
I'll have to check that out…I really enjoyed her in Innocent Traitor.
Susan Erickson for me is Eve and Roark (In Death series), not sure if I could "hear" her as anyone else. Willing to give it a try.
I think that is what will happen with Lorelei King – she's now Stephanie Plum from the Janet Evanovich series!
I'm really eager to listen to Fly Away and Winter Garden. I did an interview with Susan Ericksen recently and I've been thinking about those Kristin Hannah books ever since!
She's quite enjoyable to listen to – really does a great job with different voices, too!
