It’s Monday What Are you Reading , hosted by Sheila, is the perfect way
for me to
begin my week and allows me to
focus on what
needs to be read and to see what I
have or have not
accomplished the previous week.
I also enjoy
discovering new books by
visiting other participants
blogs.
On Saturday, I met my mom in New York City and we did a walking tour through Greenwich Village and the best part was that it was a book tour! Adriana Trigiani, one of my favorite authors, has a tour company called Adriana Trigiani Tours, and they provide walking book tours in the city that take you through parts of the city through her characters’ eyes. I’ve read just about all her books and my mom has read a few, but even if you hadn’t read any of her books, the tour was still really interesting. The tours are kept small, which is nice -there were only four of us on the tour and our tour guide, Nikki, was fantastic!!! I will definitely be doing some of her other walking tours. And will be looking to see if there are any other authors or companies that provide book tours. Do you know of any?

week? Whatever it is,
happy reading and have a good
week!
What a fun tour! I sent a literary Google map – Google Lit Trips – to a book friend who headed off to Paris last week. I hope she will get to stop in to some of the places on the map!
Here's my It's Monday! What Are You Reading? Hope you will stop by!
It really was a fun tour. I've never heard of Google Lit Trips…will definitely check that out!
That book tour sounds like a lot of fun and if I ever get to New York I hope I get the chance to experience it too. I have only read one of Adriana Trigiani's books (The Shoemaker's Wife) but I loved it.
I hope you enjoy The Winter Sea. It is one of my favorites. Have a great week!
I loved The Shoemaker's Wife – it is definitely one of my favorite books of all time!!!
I'm looking forward to starting The Winter Sea – it will be my first Susanna Kearsley book.
That tour sounds like fun. I haven't read any of Trigiani's books though. Come see my Monday Report here. Happy reading!
Oh…I think you would like her. The Shoemaker's Wife is my favorite of hers, but her Valentine series is great and Lucia Lucia, a stand-alone, is good, too!
I have soooooooooo been hitting my library for audiobooks recently! So Awesome!
Luckily we have a good library system – there's 17 libraries in my county and we can also borrow from another county, so I usually have no problem getting good audios!
You've got a lot of good books listed here – many that I still need to read! Fly Away and Come Home are at the top. I LOVE Adriana Trigiani – what a cool tour!
Both Fly Away and Come Home are really good! The tour was really fun – a different way to see parts of the city.
Where do I start? I read The Winter Sea and Body Double,am dying to read The 9th Girl and Time Flies, and anything by Elin Hilderbrand. Just finished her Silver Girl and reviewed it last week. Enjoy all those great titles!
I'm going to be starting The Winter Sea today…looking forward to it. The 9th Girl was really good. I've read everything Elin Hilderbrand has wrote and have her new book on reserve at the library. Silver Girl was good!
The tour sounds like great fun.
You got a lot of great books in this post. The Winter Sea is on my TBR shelf too so I hope you enjoy it. Have a great week.
I'm going to be starting The Winter Sea later today…I can't wait!

I love the idea of a walking book tour, what a great idea! I don't know of any though I'm afraid.
I've been very curious about Deconstructing Amelia, I'm interested to hear what you thought of that one.
My Monday post
Fly Away and Come Home were both books I enjoyed….I can't wait to read Looking for Me, sitting on my coffee table…and Time Flies is a book I'd like to add.
Here's MY MONDAY READING POST
I bet the tour was a lot of fun. I have Fly Away to read.
You will love Looking for Me.
ENJOY your week.

I did so like The Winter Sea. I hope you like it too. Reconstructing Amelia is on my TBR but unavailable here. (yet)
I love Susanna Kearsley and can't wait to read The Winter Sea. That tour sounds like so much fun, I'm adding it to my wishlist for when I visit New York hopefully 2014? Hope Fly Away is up to expectations, I do love Kristin Hannah's books.
Have a great week and happy reading 🙂
I remember reading a Tami Hoag book a few years ago. It was really good. Happy Reading!
