Month in Review: May 2013

Wow…another
month has come and gone. I really don’t know where the time is going.
This past month was quite busy with work, but I managed to get back on
track with my fitness regimen – walking and doing yoga. I have a fitbit
and my daily goal is to get a least 10,000 steps in each day.  Some days
I get way more than that, and others fall short. Since joining twitter,
I’ve found some book blogging friends that also have a fitbit and so we
can cheer each other on. Isn’t it funny how a little friendly
competition gets you moving?

This past month I joined two online book clubs. The first one is the She Reads group and the book for May was Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline…if you didn’t read this book, you really should! Click on the title to go to my review. You can also go to the She Reads site
and find tons of other reviews on the book. The other book club I
joined was the Book Lovers Unite Online Book Club – this is more of a
read-a-long with discussion questions each week. Our first book is
Reconstructing Amelia by Kimberly McCreight and so far I am loving the book. This will be the
read for June, so stay tuned for more on that book.
