This
week I will be participating in another round of Book of Books. This is
a great, no-pressure read-a-thon. Here is some info
about the read-a-thon from the
founders:
The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender
and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that
begins 12:01am Monday, January 6th and runs through Sunday, January 12th
in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and
the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of
books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand
prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 9.0 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. – From the Bout of Books team
My Goals:
- To read and listen as much as possible this week
- To finish at least 3 complete books, plus the 2 that I need to finish
- Write the reviews as I finish the books
- Be social each day and visit other blogs to cheer them on!
My List of Books:
- The Splendour Falls by Susanna Kearsley – need to finish
- Fear Nothing by Lisa Gardner – need to finish

Great goals Kristin. And the books look great. I am hoping to get a bit of audio listening covered as well. I wasn't going to enter any of the challenges but I just did one now. So who knows!
Thanks Kathryn…I'm not sure about the challenges – will have to see what they are each day!
I am participating too. I like your goals especially the one about writing reviews for the books you read. I am way behind on reviews at the moment and it seems to be easier to write them shortly after reading the book when it is fresh in your memory.
Good luck with the read-a-thon!
Thanks Christina! I always find myself behind on reviews and saw someone else had listed this as a goal and thought it was so good, that I would 'steal it' and put it as mine!
Best of luck reaching your reading goals, Kristin! It's helpful to list your goals clearly as you have done. 🙂
Thanks Suko!
Great job! Keep it up 🙂
Looks like you are doing a fantastic job with your read-a-thon goals! I am hoping to spend more time reading this weekend. I got sidetracked a little bit this week with Netflix 🙂
I have Love Water Memory on my TBR pile so I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed it. It does sounds like a good book discussion pick too. Maybe I'll suggest it to one of my groups for later this year.
