The Sunday Post #9 (1.26.14)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about
what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

I’ve
decided to try a new weekly meme – a place where I can do both a weekly
wrap up and share what books I get all in one post, so I’m going to
give The Sunday Post a try, and also link up with Sheila’s It’s Monday Post over at Book Journey.

Another really cold week here in NY with more snow. While I usually don’t mind the winters, I do have to say I’m getting a bit tired of all this snow and really cold weather, and to think we have two more months of this…ughh!!! Good thing I have my walking dvds and the gym!

I am getting very tired of snow and cold too. I just found out that school is cancelled for tomorrow because of dangerous wind chills. This is our third cancellation in January! I suppose I can loo on the bright side and see more reading time but, as a teacher, I also have to make up all the missed hours. Come see what I got at Inside of a Dog and Ms. Martin Teaches Media. Happy reading!

Yes, I remember the joy of having the snow days but the frustration of having to make up those days at a later date – oh the woes of being a teacher!

I'm listening to The Splendour Falls on audio now. The story is good, though the narrator's voice still hasn't clicked with me yet. It's still early though. Enjoy your week!

Kristin, I've said it before, numerous times, but you are so organized! I think writing things up in a post also helps.

Enjoy your reading! I hope it doesn't snow too much more, although it's nice to be inside with a book where it's cozy when it's snowing, although I know you're always with a book, regardless of the weather. 🙂

I am so tired of winter too! It just keeps on coming down. We get a double dose living on Lake Michigan. Have a great reading week.

I really liked Lost Lake. I also enjoyed Sleigh Bells in the Snow.

I loved The Secret Life of Bees and just read her newest book The Invention of Wings which was pretty good.

Like you I am tired of winter and snow already. I wish I could hibernate through the rest of winter or spend it somewhere warm and sunny 🙂

This seems like a great meme. I loved Big Girl Panties. Lost Lake seems popular this week. Enjoy all of your books and stay warm!

I've got Lost Lake for review but oops it kind of slipped my mind, should be reading it this week, I'll have to do some juggling. Ughh your weather would seriously turn me into a bear, I'd want to hibernate til Spring. Happy Reading 🙂
