The Sunday Post #56 (1.25.15)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about
what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. I’m also going to link this up with Sheila’s
It’s Monday post over at Book Journey

Well, winter has finally made it’s appearance around here (I live just north of NYC) – yes, we’ve had cold temps, but now we finally have the snow to go along it. We got just over 6 inches of snow with yesterday’s snow storm and are due to get another 10-15 Monday into Tuesday with possible blizzard conditions. Of course, this doesn’t bode well for my 1/2 marathon training that is slowing creeping up – 6 weeks to go and I’m only now getting serious about my training! I finally get some new kicks and have been breaking them in this weekend, just walking around the house. With all this snow coming and below freezing temps that will be following it, I’m foreseeing lots of mall walking in my future for those distance walks!!!

Have a great week everyone!!!

Thanks! So far no ice, just snow, which I can deal with.

I'm not really familiar with the books you mentioned, but I hope you enjoy/enjoyed them all. And good luck with your 1/2 marathon coming up!

Thank you! Having done 2 1/2 marathons last year, I'm not too worried about this one, just need to get some longer walks in between now and the race. Good thing for the mall since the weather doesn't seem to be cooperating!!!

I hope you can get some good training in despite the weather. I bet First Frost is great on audio. Enjoy!

Thanks Mary! I've listened to almost all of SAA's books on audio – they are all so good! Just started First Frost, but it's pretty good so far!

Oh yes, with all that snow training will be hard. Hopefully the mall stays open. I am behind on my Miller books and will look for your review. Have a good week and stay warm!

Luckily, the building itself is open 24 hours, so I can usually get in at anytime. It's just a matter of being able to drive over there that's the question. The Miller book is the 2nd in her Brides of Bliss County series – the first was good, so looking forward to getting into this one!

I always wonder how people up north do outside activities. When the temperature falls below 50 I tend to not want to go outside at all! First Frost looks so good but I think I need to read Garden Spell first. Have a great week!

Good luck with the training! I sometimes walk around the mall once I'm done shopping, just to get more steps in. It's nice to be inside when it's cold.

First Frost looks good and I can't wait to read The Dress Shop of Dreams. Have a great week!

Ah snow! I have my fan going and trying not to melt into the carpet! Snow sure makes it difficult to exercise by walking though. Lots of great books as usual some I've read and some not.

Oh I wish you well on your training! And on the blizzard. I think we are only supposed to get a glancing blow with 3 inches or so. It all depends on the rain/snow line down here.

I am eagerly awaiting First Frost…and now I'm curious about The Three Sisters, an Unger book I missed. Crazy Love You is on my list. Enjoy!

Hope the snow hasn't been too bad, we've seen it on the news here. At least you'll have plenty to read 🙂
