#FitReaders is hosted by Geeky Bloggers Book Blog and That’s What I’m Talking About
It’s been a while since I last checked in – I was sick and then I was on vacation for two weeks, one week of which we spent at the beach!!! I haven’t really been working out regularly because I was sick and not eating properly, so I felt that my body didn’t have the proper fuel to handle any big workouts. I take some nice walks each morning on the beach, though, which was delightful and am desperately missing that. They weren’t fast walks by any means as I was too busy trying to find beach glass, but they were good long walks, plus walking in the sand adds a whole new dimension to your workout – it really works your legs!!! I have been pretty diligent with yoga lately – not going to classes, but just doing some yoga flows at home, and even at the beach. I’ve found some I really like and seem to be sticking with it for now. I’m hoping that whatever stomach issues I’ve had have finally gone away and I can get back to my regular workouts soon. I’m off to my mom’s in North Carolina this week coming up as she’s having surgery and so I’m not sure how much I’ll get done, but hopefully by the time I get back, all will be back to normal.
Audiobooks listened to last few weeks :
- Finished The Summer End by Mary Alice Monroe, narrated by Mary Alice Monroe
- Started The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest by Stieg Larsson, narrated by Simon Vance
How did your week go? You can find this week’s link-up here.
Hi, Kristin! Walking on the beach is wonderful in many ways, and yoga stretches are beneficial. I hope you have a relaxing weekend.
Hope you will be fully well soon. I just finished The Summer End too and enjoyed the whole trilogy.
Hope all goes well with your mother's surgery. Also hope that you will feel more like yourself soon. Easy does it. Take care.
I'm the same, I haven't been feeling well so not working out. I'm walking my parents dog though so I'm getting some steps in but not even half as much as normal.
Hope your mother's surgery is complication free and that she has a speedy recovery.
Best wishes for your mom's surgery. I bet you'll be busy helping her – which will lead to higher step counts. You got this!
