#FitReaders is hosted by Geeky Bloggers Book Blog and That’s What I’m Talking About
So, this week got off to a great start with 2 good training walks, but then between the heat and a crazy work schedule it all came apart. Work has been incredibly busy and with me going on vacation next week I feel more under the gun to get a lot done before I leave. On top of that, the heat really seemed to get to me these past few days, so I decided to not push myself – the last thing I want is to end up sick right before vacation! I still have 2 dogs that require a few walks throughout the day, so it’s not like I’m not getting any exercise in – I’m just slowing things down for the time being. We’ll see how next week plays out.
Here’s how my week went:
Jul 25: 13,319 steps
Jul 26: 8,859 steps
Jul 27: 6 mile fitness walk (1 hr 25 min), 18,455 steps
Jul 28: 4 mile fitness walk (59 min), 14,787 steps
Jul 29: 2-15 minute fitness walks with dogs, 9,188 steps
Jul 30: 2-15 minute fitness walks with dogs, 8,650 steps
Jul 31: 2-15 minute fitness walks with dogs, 8,257 steps
Audiobooks listened to this week :
- Finished The Summer Wind by Mary Alice Monroe, narrated by Mary Alice Monroe
- Finished Thrill Me by Susan Mallery, narrated by Tanya Eby
- Started The Girl Who Played With Fire by Stieg Larsson, narrated by Simon Vance (reread)
How did your week go? You can find this week’s link-up here.
Wow, your step totals are great! Don't push the exercise with extreme heat. Just not worth it. Wasn't Thrill Me fun? I love Tanya Eby's narration of the Fool's Gold series.
They are still great figures! And you did right not to push yourself in the heat, it's just so counter productive when you end up sick. I had to make the same decision last night, it was pouring rain and I would have been stuck in wet clothes for a while afterwards so I decided to just leave it and I'm so glad I did.
