#FitReaders is hosted by Geeky Bloggers Book Blog and That’s What I’m Talking About
I ended up getting the new Fitbit Alta – and I am really liking it so far! It’s a little weird having it on my wrist – I had the Fitbit One, so I was used to just clipping it on my bra and not seeing it all day – but it fits and doesn’t seem to bother me. My only concern is that while I am left-handed, I still do quite a bit with my right hand, so I’m not quite sure which hand I really should be wearing it on. Right now I have it on my right, but I might end up putting it on my left. We’ll see.
My goals for April are to figure out a regular exercise program and try to stick with it! I want to get back to going to yoga classes at least twice a week and now that the weather is getting nicer, I want to start walking outdoors.
Here’s how my week went:
Mar 26: 14,123 steps
Mar 27: 12,260 steps (5K – 3.14 Charity miles for Girls on the Run)
Mar 28: 18,574 steps (10K- 6.25 Charity miles for Girls on the Run)
Mar 29: 10,330 steps
Mar 30: 10,133 steps
Mar 31: 10,108 steps
Apr 1: 9,024 steps

Great job with your steps this week! I think it is cool that you walk for charity too. I usually do Leslie Sansone walking workouts in the morning before I go to work but I want to try walking outdoors. We have a walking path right by my library that I hope to take advantage of when the weather is nice either on my lunch break or after work.
I have the Fitbit One too and I am considering upgrading to the Alta though I just got the One in December so I may wait awhile. I like the look of the various bands. I have really small wrists so I am curious about the fit. Hope you enjoy yours!
I love the Leslie Sansone workouts and have quite a few of them. I tend to do them in the winter months, but will do them when I just don't feel like going to the gym and it's raining out.
I have small wrists, too and the Alta fits just fine – in fact I don't even have it on the smallest keyhole. I just got black band for now, but will definitely end up getting more bands at some point.
Great job with your steps. I am left handed and wear my Fitbit on my left wrist. Good luck with your new Alta. I use the small band and it just fits. I wear it a little loose. I'm glad there is not a lot of overlap in the band for me.
Yay for a new fitbit
Oh… yay for the Alta. I am thinking of getting one as an alternate to my Charge HR. Can't wait to see how you like it over time.
I'm right-handed, and I wear my Fitbit on my left wrist; however, I tell the Fitbit app/program that I wear it on my dominant wrist. That way I'm hopefully not counting miscellaneous wrist movement that isn't steps.
Great job with the steps, Kristin! I've never had a FitBit but I use my phone to rack most of my runs and many of my walks (and steps). Have a great week of reading!
You kicked a$$ with your steps this last week! Seeing everyone's steps is definitely a motivator to get my butt in gear! Yay for audio books because it does make exercise more fun.
