The second thrilling novel in the New York Times bestselling Under Suspicion series following The Cinderella Murder, featuring intrepid television producer Laurie Moran as she investigates the case of a missing bride.
Five
years ago Amanda Pierce was excitedly preparing to marry her college
sweetheart in a lavish ceremony at The Grand Victoria Hotel in Palm
Beach. Then, with their guests and families on site, Amanda disappeared. In
present-day New York City, Laurie Moran realizes a missing bride is the
perfect cold case for her investigative television series, Under Suspicion.
She and her team set out to recreate the night of the disappearance at
the Florida resort with Amanda’s friends and family in attendance,
hoping to shed new light on the mystery as the series has done in past
episodes. With a jealous sister, playboy groomsmen, Amanda’s former
fiancé now married to a bridesmaid, and rumors about the “beloved” bride
herself, Laurie and Under Suspicion host Alex Buckley quickly realize everyone has a theory about why Amanda vanished into thin air.One thing is certain: whoever was behind Amanda’s disappearance plans to keep the truth hidden “until death do they part…”
The bestselling Under Suspicion series from Mary Higgins Clark and Alafair Burke offers “plenty of intrigue and excitement” (Publishers Weekly, on The Cinderella Murder). Featuring the chilling suspense and elegant settings readers have come to love, All Dressed in White is not to be missed.
My thoughts:This is the second book in Mary Higgins Clark and Alafair Burke’s Under Suspicion series and I have to say, I am really enjoying it. I was sure how this was going to continue as a series – but I can see that so far each case has been quite different and as long as these two powerhouse authors continue to put out a book in this series, they have at least one fan to pick up the book!
What I love most about this series is that I am always guessing who did it and am forever having to change my guess. It’s never a clear-cut mystery and I love that. Laurie and her team set the stage so well and through the interviews that they do for the television show to recreate the night that everything occurred that you end up with all sorts of ideas as to what happened but that’s where these two clever authors come into play – they throw in some red herrings so that you get thrown off your game and need to recalculate your guesses.
They also create really fun, interesting characters that you can‘t help like. Even the bad guys have something that pulls you in. And then there’s the budding romance between Laurie and Alex…it’s a little slow going, but that’s ok. After all, not all romances move at the speed of lightning, right?
This was another great installment in this series. It’s a good, clean mystery with plenty of twists and turns that will have you devouring the book, trying to figure out who the guilty party is. I cannot wait to see what the next case is that these come up with!
Audio thoughts:I really like Jan Maxwell’s narration of this series. She does great voices and is consistent with the characters that appear from book to book. I really hope that for as long as this series continues, she continues to narrate it, as I do plan to listen to the entire series on audio.

I haven't read Clark's books in ages but this new group has me so intrigued! I definitely want to check it out. I'm glad to hear you liked the audio!
I believe I have the first in this series on my TBR. I need to read more MHC! I should make a list of authors I want to try and what series I need to try again w/book two. I keep forgetting.
