coming back to haunt her.As the past and present collide, Zoe must decide who she can trust before she—whoever she is—vanishes completely.
My thoughts: While Kate Moretti has been on my radar for a while now, this is actually the first book I’ve read of hers…and I absolutely loved it!!! As soon as I started reading it, I found myself hooked and completely sucked into the story. Psychological suspense/thrillers have been quite popular lately, but Kate Moretti knocks it out of the park with hers, giving us just that little extra something to set hers apart!
I absolutely loved that way this story was told – alternating from the present to the past, so that we really get a sense of who Zoe is/was. This just adds to the overall atmosphere...causing you to wonder just who can you trust as you meet everyone that Zoe comes into contact with.
The characters in this book were all so well-developed. Everyone was fleshed out and real. And the pacing – it was so fast and kept you flipping through the pages because you didn’t know what was going to happen next, but you knew something big was on the verge of happening, so you didn’t want to put the book down. Nothing is as it seems.
I have two other books by Kate Moretti sitting on my shelf and now I cannot wait to pick them up…and I look forward to seeing what comes next from this author…she is definitely not one to miss!!!
There was a character on a show I enjoyed named Kate Moretti so the author's name always suprises me! This sounds good. I'm a big fan of secrets and hidden pasts and this one sounds fantastic!
