#FitReaders is hosted by Geeky Bloggers Book Blog and That’s What I’m Talking About
It was a great week!!! I pulled out one of my Leslie Sansane walking DVD’s and ended up doing them 3X’s – I forgot what a great overall workout they are!!! I think I am going to do them on the days I am not doing my distance walks leading up to the BIG walk I’m doing in March – which is coming up in 40 days!!! EEK 😉 I’m ready, I think, but I still have some training to do and I definitely have some major fundraising to do…my least favorite part of this walk, but the most important part. If you want to support me, the link is below – any amount is most appreciated!
January Goals:
- 10K steps M-F, at least 7,500 steps on the weekend – met
- 30 minutes of active walking every day, M-F – met
- Eat
mindfully/eat enough (esp. in important while training!) – met
My training plan for the Challenge Walk MS I’ll be doing in March of 2017:
- 4 miles, 2 days a week, interval training – changed this up a little this week, but ok with that – did Leslie Sansone walks at home, 2 mile walks!
- Distance walks (distances will vary, try to do 2 days, back-to-back ) – did 2 10 mile walks this week!
- Practice yoga – did 2 sessions at home 🙂
Here’s how my last week went:
Jan 14: 6,319 steps
Jan 15: 10,845 steps
Jan 16: 14,170 steps (Leslie Sansone’s 2 Mile Brisk Walk w/ Resistance Band)
Jan 17: 10,883 steps ( Leslie Sansone’s 2 Mile Brisk Walk + 15 Min Yoga)
Jan 18: 23,196 steps (10K+ – 10 Charity Miles for MS)
Jan 19: 23,002 steps (10K+ – 10 Charity Miles for MS)
Jan 20: 11,744 steps (Leslie Sansone’s 2 Mile Brisk Walk w/ Resistance Band + 15 Min Yoga)
Total Steps: 100,159 steps
Audiobooks listened to last week (since I’m not much of a music fan, I listen to books while I walk):
- Finished Lost Girls by Angela Marsons, narrated by Jan Cramer
- Started & Finished The Ice Beneath Her by Camilla Grebe, narrated by Katherine McEwan, John Lee, Justine Eyre
- Started The Stranger You Know by Jane Casey, narrated by Sarah Coomes
How did your week go? You can find this week’s link-up here.
***In March, I’ll be doing the CHALLENGE WALK MS in Savannah, GA. It is a three-day, 50-mile walk that tests your strength and your
spirit, and makes an extraordinary difference in the lives of people
with MS and their families.
