#FitReaders is hosted by Geeky Bloggers Book Blog and That’s What I’m Talking About
So, I got one big walk in last week – 16 miles!!! And while I had great intentions of doing another one the next day, life got in the way and I couldn’t get it in. But that’s ok…I ended up with a blister on my one heel, so it was probably best I took a rest day. My new sneakers arrived Friday afternoon, so this coming week I’ll be breaking them in – I can’t wait!!! I have one more week of big walks and then I’ll start to taper off on the distances.
January/February Goals:
- 10K steps M-F, at least 7,500 steps on the weekend – 5/5, 1/2
- 30 minutes of active walking every day, M-F – met
- Eat
mindfully/eat enough (esp. in important while training!) – met
My training plan for the Challenge Walk MS I’ll be doing in March of 2017:
- 4 miles, 2 days a week, interval training – met
- Distance walks (distances will vary, try to do 2 days, back-to-back ) – met!
- Practice yoga – didn’t do any full sessions this week, but got in some specific poses every day.
Here’s how my last week went:
Jan 28: 7,603 steps
Jan 29: 5,793 steps
Jan 30: 34,079 steps (10K+ – 16 Charity Miles for MS)
Jan 31: 11,664 steps (30 min fitness walk)
Feb 1: 18,702 steps (10K – 6.2 Charity Miles for MS)
Feb 2: 23,183 steps (10K – 6.44 Charity Miles for MS)
Feb 3: 19,149 steps (10K – 6.31 Charity Miles for MS)
Total Steps: 120,173 steps
Audiobooks listened to last week (since I’m not much of a music fan, I listen to books while I walk):
- Started & Finished Play Dead by Angela Marsons, narrated by Jan Cramer
- Started & Finished On Second Thought by Kristan Higgins, narrated by Xe Sands & Amy Rubinate
How did your week go? You can find this week’s link-up here.
***In March, I’ll be doing the CHALLENGE WALK MS in Savannah, GA. It is a three-day, 50-mile walk that tests your strength and your
spirit, and makes an extraordinary difference in the lives of people
with MS and their families.
