Patty
had slowly opened up to Bob. She thinks she might be falling in love

unleashes what Bob had uncovered during his earlier stay, and she too is
taken on a journey that will bring to the surface the things she has
buried deep inside her, things that she has forgotten, things she
refuses to confront, and things that could eventually set her free.

My thoughts: I was so happy to have been sent the second book in this 2-book series…I adored the first book, which came out last year. And this one continues Patty & Bob’s story – a story I needed more of!

What I loved about this book is that it has all the feels and, while it once again has that strong religious tone as was present in the first book, the messages and story itself far outweigh everything else. It is a short story to lose yourself in in the midst of all the holiday busyness and stress, to cherish this endearing story and possibly even shed a tear or too. And it once again has the Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” feeling to it, which I really loved.

I highly recommend reading both of these books – you can easily read them in a day or two. They are charming and full of hope. Perfect reads to get you in the holiday spirit.
