Somehow, even though this is the shortest month, I managed to read more books than last month…and I am not one bit mad about it. I read some great books and I hope this trend continues throughout the year. I also attended some fantastic author events and this is another thing I hope continues throughout the year. I am so lucky that I live close to NYC – my favorite city ever!!! – where there are tons of author events happening all the time 🙂
It just so happens that all these events that I attended were moderated by Zibby Owens, who has this fabulous podcast Moms Don’t Have Time to Read Books. She also does literary salons and goes around and interviews or has great conversations with authors in and around the city. I am so glad I found out about these events…they are so much fun! These are the ones I attended just this past month:
- Teresa Sorkin & Tullan Holmqvist, authors of THE WOMAN IN THE PARK in conversation with Zibby Owens
- Rochelle Weinstein, author of THIS IS NOT HOW IT ENDS in conversation with Zibby Owens
- Valentine’s Events at Dylan’s Candy Bar – Jill Santopolo, author of MORE THAN WORDS and Gigi Levangie, author or BEEN THERE MARRIED THAT in conversation with Zibby Owens
- Authors Deborah Copaken, Carolyn Murnick and Lauren Mechling speaking about “Loyalty, Betrayal and Everything in Between” with Zibby Owens
Besides really enjoying all these events, I have started listening to Zibby’s podcast, Moms Don’t Have Time to Read Books and I am loving it. She has interviewed some fascinating people over the past few years – I off course had to start at the beginning 🙂 You can find more about her, her writing, her podcasts and her events at her website – https://zibbyowens.com/.
***If you are on Instagram, I have pictures of these events under my highlights – author events.
