My thoughts: I will forever be a fan of Mary Higgins Clark’s mysteries. I remember reading my first one when I was in high school and while I have not read every one of her books, I have read quite a lot. This is her foray into the #MeToo movement, putting her own spin on it, and while it might not have been the best book I’ve read by her, it was certainly a good read. I found myself still engaged and, while I did guess some parts, I still didn’t put all the pieces together.
I am quite saddened to know that there will not be any more books by this prolific writer. Fortunately I still have some of her backlist to read, which I will eventually do, but I will certainly miss knowing a new release will be not on the horizon. RIP Mary Higgins Clark…I am glad I had the opportunity to meet you!
