***Short & Sweet Reviews are short, quick reviews. These will mainly be used for series books where I have already done full reviews on some of the earlier books or for books that I feel will suffice with a quick review. These will not be used for review requests or blog tours.

My thoughts:

So far, so good with my plan to read one Harry Hole book a month this year. If my streak continues, I should have this series finished by the end of the year…but let’s just see what happens!

I will say, I am really glad I have made the commitment to read this series because I am starting to see why so many people love Harry! This is the 4th book in the series and I love that I am starting to feel like I am getting a pulse on the characters. This story had a complex structure and it’s long, but it moves quick so it doesn’t feel that long, if that makes sense. I think the fact that we have such interesting and compelling characters – gypsys, bank robbers, a new partner who has a rare talent for facial recognition and dirty cops to name a few – keeps you engaged and wanting to keep reading.

I really liked this one and felt that there some unexpected twists that I didn’t see coming and I am quite eager to see what is in store next for Harry.
