Summary:

My thoughts:
This is the second book in Elle Cosimano’s Finlay Donovan series and much like the first book, I really enjoyed this one. I meant to read this when it first came out, but life had other plans…it happens!
This book is just as fast-paced and funny as the first and I really am kicking myself for waiting so long to pick it up. I just adore Finlay – she really has a way of inserting herself into quite some interesting situations and you just can’t help but laugh. And I love the banter between her and Vero – she is the perfect person to have by your side, that someone that is willing to do anything to help you out of a jam, ANYTHING!
This book keeps you on your toes as to what is going to happen next. The twists are expertly placed and there is just enough comedy and even a little romance to keep everyone satisfied. Some of the situations might be a little over the top, but this is just pure entertainment and the perfect book to escape in and I loved it all the more for that. And that ending once again leaves us with a great set-up for the next book…and I am going to promise myself not to wait six months to read!
Audio thoughts:
I decided to listen to this one and what a treat it turned out to be. It is narrated by Angela Dawe and she nailed the performance of this one. She really brought this story to life, giving each character their own personality, and infusing just the right amount of tension and emotion into her voice as needed.
