I purchased this book for my own personal collection.

Summary:
Alex Cross enters the final showdown with the relentless killer who has stalked him and his family for years.
Dr. Alex Cross and Detective John Sampson venture into the rugged Montana wilderness—where they will be the prey.
They’re not on the job, but on a personal mission.
Until they’re attacked by two rival teams of assassins, controlled by the same mastermind who has stalked Alex and his family for years.
Darkness falls. The river churns into rapids. Shots ring out through the forest.
No backup. No way out. Fear no evil.
My thoughts:
James Patterson’s Alex Cross series has always been one of my favorites and I’m amazed that this series is still going strong at book 29. I had gotten caught up a few years ago and then I seemed to have fallen behind again, so it looks like I have some catching up to do…but as I do love this series, it’s not really a chore!
I love that these books are such fast reads – the short chapters just beg you to keep reading and the non-stop action make the story move at a quick pace. This one moves around a lot – we go from DC to Paris, Wyoming, California, Mexico, Colorado, Amsterdam, and Montana.
I do love that we see Bree doing her thing, and Alex and Sampson working together as usual, but I have to say, I’m a bit tired of seeing the same old nemesis popping up again. M is getting on my nerves and I’d love to just be done with him already – as I’m sure Alex would, too! Maybe the next book will be the final showdown between them? One can only hope!
A very long time since I read a Patterson. Thanks for the review
