I’ve
decided to try a new weekly meme – a place where I can do both a weekly
wrap up and share what books I get all in one post, so I’m going to
give The Sunday Post a try, and also link up with Sheila’s It’s Monday Post over at Book Journey.
I finally made it to the beach this past weekend…and it was heavenly!!! I so miss living on Long Island where the beach was only a ferry ride away. My sister-in-law rents a beach house every summer on Fire Island, so my husband and I went for the weekend and we had a great time hanging out with her and her family. The weather was perfect – sunny and not too hot! I didn’t get in as much reading as I would like, but I did get a nice walk along the beach yesterday morning with my husband and playing in the sand with my nephews was more fun anyway!
It’s hard to believe that this coming weekend is already Labor Day weekend. My husband will be away – he’s doing his first big race in the new boat, racing from the Long Island Sound up to and around Martha’s Vineyard and then back. As it will be just me and the dogs home, I’m hoping for a productive reading weekend!

What an amazing week for you. I see some wonderful books in your list.
I have read a few of them, and I see a few I have on my shelf that I am waiting to read.
The House We Grew Up In was good. I LOVED Delicious. After I'm Gone was good but not as good as her other books.
I am looking forward to reading The Typewriter Girl and Three Story House. I loved Ms. Santo's book, The Roots of The Olive Tree.

I think you have had better weather than us, how nice to get to the beach. I don't think we have managed a trip this year. Our holidays were inland.
