Sunday Post #1 (12.1.13)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about
what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

I’ve decided to try a new weekly meme – a place where I can do both a weekly wrap up and share what books I get all in one post, so I’m going to give The Sunday Post a try, and also link up with Sheila’s It’s Monday Post over at Book Journey.

This past week was a bit crazy trying to get ready for Thanksgiving. We hosted, as we have for the past few years, and just had my in-laws and my sister-in-law and her boyfriend over. My husband does all the cooking – a job he loves!!! – and the food was delicious as always! I spent the week shopping for everything needed for the big feast and then cleaning the house – a tricky job with two dogs wanting to play all day. I also did a fair bit of cleaning out and organizing some areas that desperately needed it as well, so it wasn’t all bad!

With all the giveaways I’ve been hosting, I realize that I always seem to neglect to announce who wins…so moving forward, I will announce the winners here in this post as well as post the winner’s name of at the top of the original giveaway post.

This week, Jenn over at Jenn’s Bookshelves will be hosting Cozy Mystery Week and I can’t wait. I love reading cozy mysteries and I will be sharing some of my favorite cozy mysteries with you throughout the week along with some giveaways and a review or two (if I can get the books read. Be sure to stop by!

I like combining these two memes too, its so much simpler. Glad you had a good Thanksgiving, we went a little crazy with the food at our house but we had company so it all worked out! Have a good reading week.

I started combining the memes in my own Sunday post this year. Makes it easier and then I can link to the separate memes if I want.
My husband loves to cook the turkey and dressing. I'm a lucky girl, lol. I don't mind the cleaning (we host each year for about 20 people). It's a fun time.
    Have a great week!
